Do you want to serve your community?                                                          Prince William County is recruiting Election Officers for                                                        The November 2012 Presidential Election!                                         The Presidential Election Cycle will begin in March of 2012.                         To qualify you must be a registered voter in The Commonwealth of Virginia.        Arrive at the polling place at 5 a.m. on Election Day and remain until all tallies have been completed at the end of the night. ·         Set up voting equipment and prepare for the polls to open at 6 a.m.   ·         Set up voting equipment and prepare for the polls to open at 6 a.m.   ·         Process voters by verifying names and addresses of registered voters § Activate voter cards o   Admit voters to voting machines § Close the polling place § Tally Election results § Secure voting machines   § Activate voter cards o   Admit voters to voting machines   § Close the polling place   § Tally Election results § Secure voting machines   ·         Officers of Election are paid: * $15 for attending training * $125 for serving on Election Day   To apply please complete an application at www.pwcgov.org/workatpolls    Training is required.
